About Community Borrowers
Community borrowers have library privileges but do not have a uark.edu email account because they are not currently affiliated with the University of Arkansas. Community borrowers might include:
- alumni
- high school students
- faculty spouses
- community members
Obtain a temporary password
Community borrowers can still sign into OneSearch to view and renew their checkouts, to place hold requests, and to save favorites and searches. To do so, you will need to contact circserv@uark.edu or call our Mullins Help Desk at 479-575-4104 and request that a temporary password be added to your account. You will need to change that password after first login.
Log into Your Library Account
Once you have a temporary password, click the Sign in link in the upper right corner of the OneSearch screen.
Choose the option to login with your personal email and password. This should be the email address we have on file for you in the library system.
Once you are logged in, your name will appear in the upper right of the OneSearch page.
Changing your Temporary Password
Once logged into your library account, you can change the temporary password issued to you by the library. To do so, go your your name and then choose My Library Account.
Once in your account, choose Personal Details.
Choose the button to Update Login Credentials.
Update your password and click Save.
Password requirements: Must be 8 characters long and must not include your email address or other common passwords.
