Q. Why doesn't Find it! always take me directly to the article?
Why do I sometimes have to browse or search to locate the article I need?

Find it! uses a standard called OpenURL. Not all journals or electronic resources that our Libraries subscribe to are capable of answering an OpenURL request.
If a journal is not "OpenURL aware," the Find it! service will attempt to give you a link as close to the full text as possible. In some cases this will be on the journal main page, or on a page with the issue and date of your article.
Pro tip: If the Find it! page says "browse journal," copy the title of the article, then click browse journal, look for the search box, and paste in the title of your article. Use quotation marks around the title of the article for a more targeted search.
