In May 2016 this database changed its name to Nielsen Segmentation and Market Solutions.
This database provides demographic and consumer data by geographic place (major metropolitan area, county, or state) and by kind of market characteristics, lifestyle activities, or attitudes (for example, do gardening, like to dine out, participate in sports, own a pet, drink beer). Create custom reports showing relationships between activities and the outlook for certain segments. PRIZM reports allow users to focus on specific demographic groups.
This new resource works with most modern browsers so no more Internet Explorer headaches!
Getting to the resource, however, takes a few clicks.
1. Use our links to Nielsen Segmentation and Market Solutions.
If you are off-campus, you will be asked to login with your UARK username and password.
2. You will land on the main page for Kantar Media / SRDS.
The campus has access to the products without a padlock.
Click the menu option for Nielsen Segmentation and Market Solutions.
3. On the main page for Nielsen Segmentation and Market Solutions, click the prominent green button.
4. This will take you to the main Nielsen Segmentation and Market Solutions page, where you can begin to create your market reports.
